About Beetham Tower
Completed in 2006 for the Beetham Organisation and designed by Manchester architect Ian Simpson of SimpsonHaugh, Beetham Tower – known to many as the Hilton Tower – was the city’s first true skyscraper. Its slim glass form, wrapped in around 6,000 panes, won the 2007 CTBUH Best Tall Building award, and it held the title of tallest building in Manchester for twelve years.
The tower has two lives. Floors 1 to 22 are The Manchester Deansgate Hotel. At floor 23 the building steps out by four metres – the cantilever you can see from across the city – and from floor 25 upwards it becomes residential, with 219 one and two-bedroom apartments and penthouses. Ian Simpson himself lived in the penthouse at the very top.
Apartments are finished with features such as hardwood flooring, fitted kitchens and floor-to-ceiling glass, and almost every one has a view – across Castlefield and the canals, towards the Pennines, or over the city centre.

Finding Beetham Tower
At 301 Deansgate, Beetham Tower sits where the city centre meets Castlefield – one of Manchester’s most sought-after places to live.
Castlefield’s canals, waterside bars and Roman fort are a few minutes’ walk away. Head north up Deansgate and you’re into Spinningfields, with its restaurants, offices and riverside, while the shops of King Street and St Ann’s Square are within an easy walk. Manchester Central, the Bridgewater Hall and the restaurants and bars of First Street and Deansgate Locks are all close by.
